Delta One refresh starts on Los Angeles flights: what changes and what stays
Published by Pick Your Row
Delta announced new dining, bedding, amenity kits and a later meal preselect window for Delta One, starting on transoceanic flights from Los Angeles. The suites themselves are not part of this change.

Delta Air Lines announced a broad refresh of its Delta One business class service on 14 October 2026. The changes cover dining, wine and spirits, tableware, amenity kits, bedding and how much control you get over your meals. Delta says they start on transoceanic Delta One flights leaving Los Angeles International Airport this fall and will reach its full global network in 2027.
Business Travel News reports the Los Angeles start as 3 November 2026. Delta gives the same date for its new Missoni Winter Elsewhere amenity kits and for Dassai 45 sake on all flights to and from Tokyo Haneda.
The most practical change is timing. Delta One customers can now preselect their main course until 18 hours before departure, six hours later than before. Lighter options are on the preselect menu too, and on long overnight flights you can skip the morning meal and take a coffee and croissant before landing instead, which leaves more time to sleep.
Bedding changes slightly. A new Missoni Mini pillow replaces the current cuddle pillow and will expand to all transoceanic Delta One routes, alongside the existing mattress pad, slippers and eye mask.
The rest is food and drink. Delta built a new menu with chef Simon Hulstone, cut a list of about 1,600 candidate wines down to 13 wines from 11 wineries with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, adds Blanton's bourbon from 1 December, and plans cocktails and mocktails on international routes in March 2027 and domestic routes in April 2027.
What this announcement does not change is the seat. It is about service and comfort items, not new suite hardware, so the seat you choose still decides your privacy, your aisle access and how close you sit to the galley and lavatories. Our original schematics for the Delta Airbus A350 and the Delta Airbus A330 show where the Delta One cabin sits, and the Delta best seats hub explains which rows we rate and why.
Delta assigns aircraft by route and date, so check the aircraft type on your booking before you pick a seat. Our guide on how to verify your aircraft type walks through it, and the Delta seat maps hub lists every Delta configuration we cover.
